The A.N. Wallis WSPT12SC-0.5-T conforms to BS EN IEC 62561 and is available with different mounting options for installation on various sizes of Copper/Aluminium tapes (20 to 40mm wide, up to 5mm thick) or installation on a 35mm DIN rail for use with cables up to 12mm in diameter. The counter is configured to count surges of 500A or greater (l_{imp min}/l_{n min}), but other values can be provided.

The counter is powered by an integrated battery and has a life well in excess of 10 years.
