A.N. WALLIS JOB VACANCY – PRODUCT SPECIALIST – LIGHTNING PROTECTION

A.N. Wallis & Co Ltd are a leading UK based Designer, Manufacturer and Supplier of Lightning Protection and Power Earthing Products. Established in 1946, Wallis has grown steadily throughout our core markets of the UK, Middle East and South East Asia. We are in a phase of worldwide growth with an annual revenue of circa £40m.

As part of this growth, Wallis are looking for a talented Product Specialist – Lightning Protection to join our UK based Engineering team.

Working out of our Nottingham office with some international travel, your duties will ultimately include:-

• Being the Company Specialist in all aspects of Lightning Protection Design, Installation, Testing & Maintenance.
• Providing technical support to our worldwide team of Business Development staff during Tenders, Sales negotiations, product presentations etc.
• Carrying out Lightning Protection designs for various prestigious projects worldwide.
• Liaising with our Middle East based Design Engineers via email, phone, Teams and in person where required, aiding them in delivering compliant Lightning Protection Designs.
• Representing the Company at BSI (British Standards Institution) meetings and feedback changes to all interested parties within the Company on upcoming changes to all relevant Lightning Protection standards.
• Aiding in the continuing development of the Wallis Risk Assessment software.
• Liaising with other members of the Engineering Services Team in the development of new and existing products.
• Attending customer sites and offices worldwide to advise them on our products in relation to Lightning Protection Systems, providing practical and theoretical training using our own suite of training materials etc.
• Completing site surveys as required and creating test & inspection reports of your findings.

Essential requirements, you must

• Have at least 5 years of experience designing lightning protection systems to BS EN 62305
• Have a current or recently expired ATLAS accreditation.
• Have a good working knowledge of MS Office 365.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Be completely conversant in spoken and written English.
• Have the ability to pass an industry-standard Drugs & Alcohol and health screening.
• Have the ability to pass an HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard check.
• Have excellent problem solving skills.
• Have the ability to communicate with staff at all levels

Pay: £35,000.00-£37,500.00 per year
